Raspberry Pi Camera Controller with 3G connectivity

I require a Raspberry Pi based camera controller that will take still images every time an external trigger is activated, such as a door being opened, a beam broken etc. The image must be saved locally, but I need to access the images via FTP. The Pi must connect to the internet via an integrated 3G module such as a Siemens T35 ([url removed, login to view]) to allow for FTP connection. The pi must also be able to control external events, such as switching on a light, once the photo has been taken.
