I'm working on a mmo browser game - we recently added https support, but have noticed a HUGE amount of latency over wss websockets. On many of our game servers with https (the issue seems to happen randomly to some servers), there is a delay of several seconds on wss that wasn't seen before on ws. Basically one person has made a script which spams our server with connections, and since we switched to https (wss) he is able to freeze our gameserver. This issue has only happened since we used wss, I hope there is a way to fix it. We use NodeJS for our back and uws as the websocket library.
