Note: While I could certainly implement your project the way you've described, just reading your project description suggested a couple of minor security tweaks that might be worth including, specifically using ssh keys instead of a password, and possibly using a different user instead of root. If you accept my bid we can discuss whether such changes would actually be feasible in your situation.

Hi guys, happy to help with your project. sounds like pretty simple bash script. just curious, if you're moving to Linux, did you consider using ansible or any other automation tools to streamline installation? Also, as long as it is SW installation - could package manager (yum or apt, depending on distro) be of any help there?
