Hi, I have experience of supporting 4000 Linux server. Below are my key roles and responsibilities. • User administration including adding/deleting users, modifying user accounts, locking/unlocking. • Perform day-to-day Technical Support- Analyzing, Troubleshooting and Resolving Technical Problems related to Servers. • Perform System Boot and Shutdown Procedures. • Working with user/group permissions, file permissions (ACL, SUID, SGID and Sticky bit). • Setting up password less SFTP/SSH connections using rsa/dsa keys and troubleshooting. • Installing/upgrading various packages. • Scheduling jobs with cron, services administration. • Monitoring file systems, CPU utilization, Swap and other memory related issues. • Creating and administering Volume Manager Objects. • Mounting/Un-mounting NAS shares, exporting file systems. • Coordinating with vendors like Oracle, Symantec,HPfor resolving issues and hardware replacements. • Disk replacements configured on SVM • Unix Shell Scripting • Develop and maintain the documents, library and procedural documents of the system.
