I have worked on many complex projects ( Private cloud setup on AWS, Load balancing clusters, Replication systems and many more). If you were to choose me I would use a Go (Golang) backend for handling your incoming web hooks. It's easy to scale and can handle concurrency very well while remaining light weight. I normally work alone, but I would have an associate of mine help me with your project so we could really do our due diligence on best practices and optimization from the ground up. We don't have experience with Redshift, but I have worked with EC2 and know how the AWS platform generally works. We've both done a decent amount of work with MySQL and PostgreSQL. I don't think queuing the data to be stored will be much trouble. Are you able to go into more details on the reports you would need generated? It would help me understand more of what you're needing in that regard. I would love the opportunity to work on this project for you.
