I am looking for a developer to create a mobile app for both iPhone and Android that can receive NDI audio.
Ideal skills and experience for this job include:
- Experience developing mobile apps for both iPhone and Android platforms
- Knowledge of the Newtek NDI SDK
- Strong understanding of audio streaming and processing
- Ability to integrate and optimize audio playback in the app
- Familiarity with network communication protocols for audio streaming
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver a high-quality, user-friendly app.
Newtek offers its NDI Tools (Network Device Interface [login to view URL] ) which transmits Video/Audio over ethernet.
However its tools lack both an Android and iOS app to receive the Video/Audio stream that it sends using their protocol. They do however offer and SDK that can be incorporated into both Android and iOS app, so the feature can be created. This is their SDK:

We require both an Android app and an iOS app that incorporates their NDI SDK in order to receive an NDI feed transmitted by one of their exiting apps, like NDI Screen Capture.
Basic requirement is that it be very user friendly... this means that upon start up, the app is automatically searching for available NDI feeds (both Audio only, Video only and Audio/Video) and displaying them to the user. Simply tapping on an available NDI feed, will start the Audio and/or Video feed playing for the user. There should be an audio level meter that shows audio levels while playing. There should be a BACK button that returns to searching for available NDI feeds again.
