HTML5 / jQuery Browser/Mobile Crossword App - Finishing touches to an existing project

Our last developer was unable to complete our project properly, so we are looking for someone to fix the last few minor things. NOTE: The last developer had all sorts of problems completing #1 below. Please make sure you KNOW you can solve #1 before signing up for this project. The project you need to modify/fix is here: [login to view URL] You need to: 1. Fix the box selection algorithm (clicking on boxes in the grid). We are trying to clone the clue selection behavior of our old Flash app, which is here: [login to view URL] What is supposed to happen is that when you click a clue box on the left, if a clue starts in the clicked box it should select that clue ACROSS. Then if you click that box again, it selects the clue DOWN. Click it again, ACROSS. etc. In this way, the user will be able to predict what will be selected when he/she clicks. Examples: When I click on "10" for the first time, it must select 10 across on the first click. Click 10 again and it selects 1 down. (since there is no 10-down clue) When I click the box underneath the 1, it selects 1 down because there is no across clue here. When I click the box to the right of the 1, it selects 1 across because there is no down clue here. When I click the "5" box for the first time, it selects 5 DOWN because a 5 DOWN clue starts here. When I click the "13" box for the first time, it selects 13 ACROSS. Click again, and it selects 13 DOWN. When I click the "15" box it selects 15 DOWN because there is no 15 across clue, but there is a 15 down clue. 2. Fix the clue selection on the right side (clicking clues in the clue list) There is a bug right now there. If you click "10 across", it highlights 10 across correctly. But then when you type letters, the letters don't appear in 10 across. That needs to be fixed. 3. Make mobile friendly: The crossword puzzles need to be able to be used on touch devices and devices without keyboards. a) Pressing on clues on the right does not work on mobile / ipads. This needs to work. b) There is a pop-up keyboard that pops up on iphones. It mostly works, but covers the far bottom clues. It needs to be positioned so all clues can be read. c) The pop-up keyboard letters aren't quite centered in the keyboard keys. d) The pop-up keyboard does not appear on tablets. It should, so that iPad users can use this game too.
