Senior React Native Developer

The ideal candidate will have experience developing React Native mobile applications with a deep understanding of low level core libraries, with their possibilities & limitations. The role: As a Developer on our team, speaking geek should be second nature to you and you’ll find yourself surrounded by a team of like minded techies who are passionate about pushing software technologies to the limit just like you. You’ll be tasked with helping engineer our mobile application by designing and developing code for React Native. As a member of our family, you will play a critical role in the success of the organization and be entrusted with lots of responsibility and autonomy daily. Our mobile apps are part of a family of other existing mobile applications we need to re-write in React Native (from Ionic). You will work with the Product Manager and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works. Responsibilities Develop React Native mobile applications (iOS/Android) Build reusable code and libraries for future use Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders Integrate to existing REST API's, or help design new ones with the back end team Skills And Qualifications Proficient in developing, releasing, and maintaining React.js or React Native apps Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery and React Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks. Good understanding of ES6, JSX, and Node Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus. Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them. Proficient understanding of REST principles and exposure to backend APIs Proficient understanding of Git / BitBucket Preferred background 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience with the above technologies/responsibilities Understand that a fast-growing company is not a 9-5 job, it's a lifestyle Fluent French / English written & spoken Thrive in a rapidly changing environment
