Hi I am a database expert with 15 years experience in handling MS SQL databases. I have worked as DBA for large ERP databases and use to write and do performance tuning for SQL queries, procedures and triggers. I have worked with several ERP databases to write queries and procedures to create custom reports. I have used the systables and sycolumns tables to get the table definitions and to generate SQL to alter the table definitions. I'm a MySQL developer and I can help you create an SQL query to change that column's values in bulk. I have 2 questions: 1. How many rows are there in the SQL table (is it extremely large?) and 2. You want change in only 1 column's values right? Because I've bid according to it. Apart from that I will just need to know all the conditions of changing the columns, if any. For example, change this column only if the last update date of the record is greater than some date. That's just an example. Don't get confused by it.
