Servers in high availability with directadmin

Hello there, I am a professional system admin and server engineer. I read your project requirement and understood what you need. To have a high availability or a Load Balancer there requires two servers. These two servers should have the same data and the there should be a central Database for both the servers. This is usually achieved using RDS in AWS. But if you are hosted on a dedicated server then we should have a third server as just a DB server with backups configured. This is my approach and please google it to double-check - you need a frontend server to do two roles: loadbalancer + ssl termination - you need two backend server A + server B - you may need a mysql/postgre server So this mean you only need 1 IP for frontend server only. This is the flow of this model Client => https to frontend =>haproxy loadbalance => round robin via source IP => server A/B For database, server A and B will use the same mysql connection setup to use together. For user upload data, you can use NFS to share it between two backends. With the kind of this model, it is prefer to host it in private VPC like AWS. A couple of questions. 1) What kind of database you will use: PostgreSQL, MySQL? 2) directadmin is a paid product, would you like a free open source option like virtualmin for example or you are prepared to pay for it?
