General: We are the developers of a large and popular open source product, which also has proprietary, non-open source components which we license to clients. The demand for customizations and integrations has exceded our current staff's available time, so we are currently looking for a long-term partner who will work with our existing development staff on an on-going basis for maintenance and development of our product. It is written in PHP, with a MySql database backend. The partner we select must prove **absolute expertise** in PHP programming. Our system is designed extremely well, and all future coding must adhere to strict quality standards and follow the existing methodology. We have a very long list of work to be done with pieces building off each other. Long-term vision is a must at all times. The partner must have excellent communication abilities, speak perfect english, and work in a professional and ethical manor. We are looking for somebody that will have the project and our best interests in mind at all times, and will develop and make recommendations accordingly. Prior track record and proof of future longevity will both come into play when making our decision. We are granting USA based coders first consideration, but will entertain all offers. We want to work only with very small companies, or individuals at this point. Please do not bid if you are a large coding house and please do not contact us directly outside of Rent A Coder. In making our decision, we will look at quality and expertise first, followed by speed, then price. We are looking for pro-active individuals of guru status that can and will follow the current methodology and design of the system as we put forth. Please feel free to ask questions and post any relavent information that will help us choose the right individual. We will convey details of our project to all bidders privately.
## Deliverables
Again, we are looking for a long term partner. In order to make this process easier for both parties though and satisfy some basic RAC fields, we are putting a small relavent project up for bid currently, which is very similiar to the type of on-going work we will be needing: You are bidding on creation of a specific module that will be based on an existing module in our system of similiar functionality. Detailed specifications will be given to guide the coder; we will detail high-level functionality required, as well as some detailed help on getting started coding in our system. We will choose our winner, or winners, on the following criteria: - Who can prove absolute expertise in software design in general and PHP coding in specific. Obviously, if you've worked with our system before and can show development work you've done, that will rank highly. We will need to see proof of quailty, expert work regardless. - Who can offer the fastest turnaround. - Price. We will then judge the communication abilities and end quality of that coders work to determine if we'll contract with them for the next projects. 1) The completed module as defined by our design specification (available via private messaging), with all associated files.
2) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
