oscommerce header tag controller fix

I have built a website using oscommerce and have installed a number of contributions. One of them is the header tag controller detailed here ([url removed, login to view],207/category,all/search,header+tag+controller). I have found that I can use the auto populate tool within Admin to create tags (adding content to the page title, header description, and keywords), however, when i go into a product that has these and then update the product, I lose the tags. I can go into a product and cancel out of it and it retains the tags. I have also found that when I write my own tags within the product page in admin, and then update the product, again I lose the contents. Attached screen shot of the product page in admin. I need the header tag controller working correctly so that in all scenarious it works correctly (including but not limited to 1. auto fill tags 2. customer tags by writing them my self 3. editing and updating a product, retaining the tags My site is currently live. I will supply a copy of my site and will require edited files to be sent to me upon compltion and a summary of fixes. Many thanks
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
