Hi!

We need to develop an online application that would compare 2 inventory files.

--Both inventory files will be in Excel

--Both inventory files will have the same attributes (part #, name, description, price)

--Both inventory files can have up to 120,000 records.

1) The application must be password protected.

2) It has to be developed in php/asp and mySQL

3) Once the user is logged in, he can access several options:

a) **option #1:** download a master file

b) **option #2:** download a comparison file

c) **option #3:** manage prefixes (e.g. many part numbers are going to differ by manufactorer's special prefix: e.g. 123456 in master file and man1-12345 in comparison file). the user has to be able to add new prefixes to the database.

d) **option #4:** run the program and get a comparison report

When you run the program,

a) **it standardizes part numbers using the prefixes from the list above.**

b) and it creates an output file that contains all information from the master file, any cross reference data from the comparison file (if a match is found), as well as a list of ALL parts from the comparison file that did not find a match.

Please don't be afraid to ask me questions.

Thanks!

Julia
