Description: We are a USA firm looking to outsource all of our projects. Please do not place general bids, be very specific in answering all of our questions.
Below we have identified potential problems with this relationship. It is your task to explain how you will overome these, the more detailed you are in your answers, the better.
- Potential Issues/Barriers/Problems with Outsourcing -
The following are listed in no particular order. They are all equally important to us.
RESPOND TO ALL COMMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED
1. This firm must have a combination of resources. You must have a USA contact that works during regular USA business hours, but also have a team or the main development office in another country.
2. This firm must be available literally 24/7/365. No exceptions.
3. This firm must identify their project management system. We must understand how will manage each and every project we give you on a continued basis. How are you going to accomplish every project? How are we going to get updates? We expect updates all the time so everyone is on the same page in case clients contacts us as well.
4. This firm must have a large team. This has to be a firm that has a working overhead payroll and several developers ready to fulfill these projects on a consistent basis. You cannot outsource projects to part time developers and/or other firms to keep up with the work, you must have all the resources in place to keep up with the pace.
5. This firm must have the ability to develop projects at an extremely low cost, however, an unbeatable quality for each and every client.
6. This firm must agree to a flat rate commission agreement with us on every project we forward to you. We will not be marking up the project to gain our profit, we will be making our profit from a flat rate commission agreement with you. This firm must agree to a flat rate commission of 25% or more or you will not be considered, there are plenty of firms who will agree to this. Also, firm will pay us the commission rate in the beginning, when the project begins, we will not wait any period of time for payment, this will be immediate. Payments must be made to us directly, not using any type of 3rd party service charging an outrageous fee. It is your job to collect the money from the client, which is why we are requiring you to provide contracts with each client to ensure and protect everyone involved.
7. This firm must agree to pay us extra money each time they do not meet a deadline.
8. This firm must base their costs to the clients on a per project basis, not a per hour basis.
9. This firm must provide my group with complete super login access to their site and complete operations.
10. This firm has to be able to contact clients and close the deal for those customers that are looking to develop something, but just cannot decide if they want to or not. This firm must have someone in both countries, USA and development office country to have the ability to make outbound calls and/or emails daily to close the deals and make them finalize when customers are a little unsure.
11. Honest and Reliable. An example of this would be... If a client does not understand website development and we close a project that he wants developed and the closing price is enough to use php, but your firm tries to make more money from them and use asp instead, this is terrible business and we will not tolerate this ever. This firm must give client honest assessment and give them the best technology, no cutting corners.
12. This firm must explain any/all reasons why we should choose your firm to give you exclusive rights to all of our projects.
13. This firm must be able to create nda agreements, contracts with the clients we forward them at ease.
14. This firm must submit resumes of their developers to us for consideration.
15. This firm must sign an official, legally binding agreement with us in order to gain this relationship.
16. This firm must be able to perform any kind of programming. This shall include, but not be limited to: website design, website marketing, seo services, graphic design, presentations, multimedia, illustration, cartooning, writing, editing, translation, set design, fashion design, general programming, software application development, database development, networking, hardware, crm implementation, erp, cad, financial and accounting programming, admin support, maintenance support, tech support, advertising, sales advice, etc. This firm must have the background and expertise to complete all of the listed above and many more project needs from all of our customers.
17. This firm must understand that we get clients from all walks of life and they sometimes have very privately labled needs and you must be able to adjust to comply with their requests easily and immediately.

Let us explain the overall process. This is just the simplified version, there will obviously be certain situations where exceptions may apply and you must be flexible to easily change for each project as needed.
1. We will find clients. We will forward as much details as we gather from the first conversation. You will then gain access to their information and you will perform any and all tasks to get the project off the ground including but not limited to: conversations with them explaining your understanding of the project, creating contractual agreements with them, actually closing them on the development if they are unsure of doing this or not, signing the nda documents, communicating with them on a regular basis before the development begins. You will then pay us our flat rate commission. You will then start the project and you must comply to budget and timeframe requirements or you will be charged a penalty from our side. You will communicate with clients throughout and not rely on us for anything more than more and more projects from new clients.
