I just got a win2000 server with an static IP address and a 256k connection to the internet. I need to have a java client/server program done to test the proof of concept of streaming data to a java applet. Client Applet will validate username/password and then listen/display for streaming data from the server. Client applet will display 20 stock symbols and their prices. These username/passwords and symbol prices will be read from a text file on the server and the values incremented/decremented randomly every 30 seconds, before streaming out continously to ports on the server. If the prices are over $x.80 cents, a green indicator light will be turned on next to the stock symbol on the client applet and beep on the pc. If under $x.20 the indicator light will turn red next to the symbol and beep the client pc. The values displayed on the client applet will be symbol, price, green/red light, username, current time, time connected .. I/You will provide the text file with the 20 symbols/prices. I need this done quickly. Use your imagination and impress me. I will need detailed installation documentation. The server must stream the data to 6 different ports simultaneously. The client applet will randomly connect/listen to either/any of the the 6 server ports.
