Google SiteMap - URL Indexing

We have a website built on the Miva 5.5 platform which utilizes the Emporium Plus Template Data Feed for generating a Google Sitemap.

It seems like the sitemap is generated properly, but when we examine the stats from the Google WebMaster tools, it is clear that only a small percentage (~15%) of the pages are geting indexed. More specifically, we see the following stats:

URLs submitted: 20,384

Indexed URLS: 3,197

FYI, we've already tried splitting the file into smaller ones (from a single file with ~ 20000 URLS to four separate files with approximately 5000 urls each) but no change in the "index rate"

We are looking for some to help improve this to a 80%+ index rate. Not sure if the problem likes within Google or the site map generation tool.

The winning bidder of this project will most likly be the preferred choice for improving our site map efforts with MSN/Bing and Yahoo.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
