How to terminate/end a process?

How do I terminate or end a process? I have an application that cannot be terminated by any killapp code out there, under Windows 2000 it can only be terminated by task manager, and under Win9x, it can only be terminated by CTRL+ALT+DEL and choosing it to end task. Can you please provide me with code on how to end a process?
