I have a problem with an application I am writing...
After some time the memory grows very large but at startup it is normal.. it takes about 4-6 hours for the memory to grow large enough for it to cause VM errors (the machine only has a little ram)
I have attached a couple of profiling sessions from .net memory profiler
I "think" the problem may be with sockets but I'm not 100% sure... I see a lot of instances called "OverLappedData" and don't understand how to prevent / handle these.
The application queries another local application via a socket connection on [login to view URL] and then disconnects.. it does this constantly to get data from it.
There are 200 threads in the application that will do this. Perhaps the socket is busy sometimes?
Here are the profiler files in zip format
<[login to view URL]> (after being run for over 9 hrs)
If you believe you understand where the problem lies, then we can look at code.
