Hello, we need to change the root password on our server that has been put into rescue mode by our web host, unfortunately their expertise fail after this. The root username has been removed, but the other usernames are still present. using some magical command which i've now forgotten. [login to view URL] this is the guide ovh provide but as the server is so old 2008 it does not work following these instructions. The aim is to get our website data off the server, probably in the var/www but unsure which user account it applies to, the best course of action would be to create a username and give it root privileges if possible.
