I have discovered a specific niche problem and need support in developing an app which will be similar to Medium (without the audio function in first release). The project would require development of an App iOS/Android including a Database Backend and a Website (similar functionalities like in the App). Following key functionalities should be available (More detailed specs, mocup, UML will be provided as needed): - CREATE A STORY (pictures, format etc.) - VIEW a story (Like, Follow author, comment, share with other apps, report abuse) - DISCOVER stories (categories, recommendation based on association analysis) - view AUTHOR profile (stats, all stories) - FAVORITES bookmarked stories (offline view) - HISTORY all viewed stories - PROFILE (subscribe, see all own stories, change settings) - MEMBERSHIP: View a specific number of articles only vs PREMIUM subscription Admin panel (website): review stories and delete Backend: 1. Algorithm to provide recommendations (association analysis) 2. Algorithm for trends 3. Algorithm for story of the day 4. Algorithm for revenue sharing with author 5. Non-functional requirements 5.1. Both app and database should be able to deal with 10.000 request per second and enable instant load of content 5.2 Website should have Responsive Design I would also offer some revenue sharing models, since I am looking for long-term support.

Hi there, Understood the requirements. I propose a web app which will handle the server side part of the app, eg. storing the stories, reading them from DB, recommendations, and the Android app to make request to the web app and handle the response. I would code the backend in PHP/MYSQL (codeigniter framework), and the Android app would be in HTML/JS/CSS (cordova used to compile into apk). I have built many apps in cordova, butI haven't compiled for iOS. I believe it wouldn't be in issue but just thought I'd mention. I would provide daily updates and would write clean code. Parts of the backend could be done in node.js, maybe even most of the backend. I am less experienced with node than with PHP, but I would take on the challenge.
