If you received such email, then it's your sites are most definitely infected with malware, which are possibly sending spam emails on the backgroung. I run a web hosting service and have extensive malware cleanup experience, so I can clean, update and secure any infected sites. That said, there's only so much that can be done within shared hosting accounts, so I'll have to go with the Godaddy list and use an external scanner like Sucuri. I charge $50/site. We will need up-to-date copies of any commercial software (themes/plugins) used on the infected site(s). Sites that are VERY far behind on updates may develop glitches after all the upgrades; these would need to be addressed by a developer, as I specialize in malware removal and security, not frontend work. As far as preventing future infections, as long as you keep the software up to date, you'll be ok. I guarantee all my work against reinfection.
