Minor fix to ad positioning on Wordpress site

I have a Wordpress-based site that uses the Publisher theme, from BetterStudio.com. I have used several ad-placement plugins in the past. Now some Adsense ads show up on some pages where they don't belong.
I need help in (1) removing these unwanted ads, and (2) controlling the placement of ads in the future.
I do NOT want to rebuild the site, install a new theme, etc.
Successful bidders must be fluent in Wordpress, and have positive reviews.
