Hi, There are some grey topics within your requests and it would be very helpful to learn them in advance. 1- First as you know AWS free tier usage has limitations such as instance type and number of hours to work. If you require free tier usage then we may not able to select proper instance type for your workload. 2- Autoscaling: Autoscaling is fine for web servers behind load .balancers, however its important here what you would like to achieve with scaling. For example single wordpress site on a cpanel server with single database, can not autoscale to several instances. Instead we can setup WWW servers separately (but not managed by cpanel) and with a single MySQL db as backend and then can increase www servers as required. I hope i can make myself clear. Besides this you can not just simply clone/startup same instance to provide scaling. 3- You have stated 7000 visitors per month, what is more important as well: -- do we use caching for web server? is this caching performed on RAM or on (SSD) discs? -- how much disc I/O we see for such as visitors? its mainly db insensitive connections or just static web content, -- Whats your annual or monthly growth plans? will we have 7K users for one year? one month? etc. I can work with you to clarify the questions and based on your requirements we can setup an EC2 plus EBS service usage within AWS.
