Who are those with loves so sweet
Who never get caught in the rain?
They never know the dark of night
Their faces always in the light
Gliding through the maze of life
Filled with fruit and nectar sweet
Each turn brings to a golden path,
What do they know of pain and wrath?
My anger soars, this is not right
I want to scream, I want to fight
My way is blocked I cannot pass
I want my path on smooth green grass
I dream of watching floating clouds
And eagles soaring in the sky
Music playing, laughing days
flowers blooming, love in blaze
I am the golden child, I am!
It has been written in the stars
How was I tricked, who cheated me?
It glares with life inequities
I tried so hard, I've been so good
This is not real or be what should
Yet here I am stuck in my maze
My path stopped short, I'm in a daze
So now it comes down to a choice
To how our lives we carry on,
Be saint or sinner, crook or nun
No on knows til day is done
My mind now guides the future way,
Regardless of what came before
Is character built, or put aside
As obstacles loom ever wide?
The strength of spirit, heart and soul
Within us blooms in different ways
How brave we face what lies ahead
Determines then how life is lead
To those who glide through life with ease
Who never stare grief in the face
Are they to pity in the end
For missing lesson's that transcend
To that which make us strong and pure
And builds us nobler then before?
Though no one asks for pain and grief
Can real acceptance bring relief?
