Sounds interesting, while the closest I've been to astrophysics was an article when I was studying quantum mechanics, I would like to participate.

Personally, have read up on concepts about astronomy in my freetime. However, in the event about the application of astrophysics: any particular mathematical model that would be needed for this project, would like to receive information about that (if awarded). Would first scheme through the questions first, look through what are the relevant concepts or equations that will come into play for the program. In addition, look up and fiddle with any Astronomy supported packages in Python (Explore Astropy a little more to see if methods may help with the project) Accordingly, will draft out a scheme for the program to write out and functions. Each component of the code will be documented with comments and docstrings and sent to the parties who will require them. Will first submit a first beta version, for the party to test on his data or rather, receive feedback, do a second and final code, after receiving the feedback. Final code will be submitted to the party within 3 days of feedback. Hours will be counted based on dedicated duration for each day of the period.
