Looking for a Word Macro to extract contact information from a Word Document and save it in a IBM Lotus Notes database. Macro from Word to extract FirstName, LastName, Email, Phone Number, Job Title, if there is an address then Street Address, City, State, Zip and put those fields into an IBM Lotus Notes document into the respective fields. I will give you the field names or locations from a UI perspective. Lastly save this attachment on that same Lotus Notes document. Alternatively it can be done as a Lotus Notes agent and a button where it asks for which Word document to select and then parses the above information from that Word document and creates a Notes Document in the current database. One at a time. This is not a batch function.

For this we need: 1.- Define the MS word document with Fields or Bookmarks 2.- Create a Map between Bookmarks / Fields of MS Words and Fields of Lotus Notes. 3.- Agent require the user where is the Word Document file, make the exchange and attach the document. I did this process in the past.

I have a fairly strong profile in Python. I have been working with Python every day for the past 4 years. I have developed a variety of software architectures including models for machine learning, interactive GUIs, serial communication, data processing, implementation of signal filters etc. And in many of these tasks, I have conducted document as well as web scraping. So I can easily complete your task in one or two days. Although I am not very much familiar with IBM's Lotus Notes, I have written scripts in the past in Python to automatically send a custom email to a list of email ids.
