R or python script to scrape Yelp website data into a flat file

The project seems quite fun, I am going to be using beautiful soup [python] to do the scrapping. I have reviewed the document and I believe this can be done in 10-15 hours. I am already trying out your sample business list and writing the script to get the data as specified in your specs file. I have few questions regarding some of the data points, like how to check if a review is updated etc. Also if the output desired as a TXT file?
