OpenText Administrator with AGA experience

Skills, knowledge, experience required:

Minimum Bachelor Degree in IT or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of full time experience with a relevant system;

Experience designing the architecture of complex application systems (HA, Failover, Mobile frameworks, Secure by design);

Experience in administration of OpenText Content Server and Archive Centre;

Experience with OpenText Application Governance & Archiving for Microsoft SharePoint (AGA) is required;

Experience with Content Server modules such as Search, Livereports;

Experience with OpenText Content Server complex upgrades;

Experience with OpenText Content Server patching;

Experience with PowerShell scripting to administer Content Server;

Knowledge of LAN/WAN network infrastructure technologies (load balancers in particular);

Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems;

Knowledge of virtualisation technologies;

Knowledge of Relational DataBase principles (Oracle in particular);

Knowledge of application patching, recovery, monitoring and authentication procedures;

Knowledge of Application Monitoring principles and techniques;

Experience working with ITSM ticketing systems;

Experience integrating applications in complex scenarios;

Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude;

Excellent communication and teamwork skills;

Flexibility to adapt to different technologies.

Duties/role:

Coordinate the different infrastructure tasks involved in the deployment, support and maintenance of the OpenText applications in the area of responsibility;

Request the server infrastructure, accesses and permissions;

Install and configure software of the different OpenText application environments;

Patch OpenText systems to be compliant with the security policies of the Institution;

Upgrade OpenText applications with new releases and versions;

Create and maintain technical documentation: installation, configuration, operation and so on;

Ensure that the OpenText applications are compliant with the desired documented configuration;

Propose, analyse, create specifications, develop and implement tools to administer and support the infrastructure of the OpenText systems;

Perform backup/restore, fail-over and disaster recovery tests;

Provide support to the development teams using OpenText products;

Validate and implement changes as part of the change and release management processes;

Perform analysis and resolve incidents as part of the incident and problem management processes;

Troubleshoot OpenText infrastructure issues;

Ensure that proper monitoring is put in place for OpenText systems;

Develop expertise on new OpenText technologies.
