New Accounting Collaboration Software

Tya, home of New School Accounting, is seeking a Senior or Manager-level Java Software Engineer for a 1-month project in Makati. In short, you’ll be helping us build new accounting enterprise software…from scratch! Yes this will be a challenging adventure, but with your help we’re going to dramatically change the accounting industry…forever! Important: Candidate must be willing to work in Makati office for this 1-month period, and must be willing to consider full-time employment with our company after the 1-month project. In other words, we’d love you to potentially be our first of many hires in Manila :) Specific Tasks • Translate our business and growth requirements—and help select the appropriate AWS services/environment we need to purchase in order to develop our new software • Based on requirements and wireframe documentation provided to you, design and develop server side code in JAVA and web application code (Javascript/JSP) in an Agile environment • Write clean, standards compliant, object-oriented, documented and maintainable source code with aspirations toward simplicity and elegance • Assist with the hiring and management of other Java Software Developers to be added to the team Required Skills/Experience • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) • 5+ years of experience in Java development • Object-oriented software design • Passion for agile software development • Technical and hands-on, but has the ability to think big-picture as necessary Project Budget: Between $1,000 to $1,500 for the first month, depending on experience.
