Framework Requirement Specification Introduction The main aim of this research project is to model and implement a semantic-based Care Coordination System. To coordinate, integrate and monitor health and social care activities between different actors (formal, informal and student) involved in the care process network for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. To provide personalised care interventions, as well as planning, monitoring and reviewing care activities. The following is available; 1. The ontology model has been built with all the relevant classes, data and object properties- this was build using protégé ontology editor edition 5. 2. The data (case scenario) for testing and validating of the completed framework has been collected and are based on individuals with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) or other related disabilities. Requirements 1. To design and build algorithms to interoperate care coordination ontology with the aim to bring flexibility to care network services and adaptively guide the process of careplan coordination and monitoring for children with special needs (design of the algorithm to be translated to computing code- (pseudo-code)) These intelligent agent features will be integrated into a platform that will deal with the planning, monitoring and reviewing of interventions and to coordinate the continuity of care process while facilitating communication between different actors, including the child or young person with special needs and their families. Also, to enable re-planning of care activities if required. 2. Create SWRL (semantic web rule language) rules for the OWL concepts (classes, properties and individuals) 3. To develop a user interface to access, manipulate and query the ontology created. I prefer the use of Jena API programmatic environment and Eclipse development environment with Java IDE. 4. Use SPARQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data from the created ontology model (RDF).
