Hello , I have the same need as you to monitor the memory utilization of EC2 before , But it is not easy . First there is no RAM metrics on the CloudWatch console or at instance monitoring tab by default because, for security purposes, AWS does not have access to the OS information and hence RAM metric is not created. Have to install an Watch Agent inside the windows/linux system , and the Agent communicates with the CloudWatch . I have tried and sucess .
