Hello,
on Microsoft Server 2016 users working via RDP (remote desktop protocol) and from time to time RDP connection drops. We have changed basically everything (router at office, internet provider, cables in office) but problem still here. The problem is 100% is in server. RDP conection drops and VPN connection drops, but those disconnections are not related. RDP working without VPN. Other virtual servers on the same subnet and same hypervisor/physical server working perfectly without any issue.
So we have two issues, but those issues could be related:
1. fix rdp disconnecting;
2. fix VPN disconnecting (if necessary credentials to router could be provided)

Did you check log on Server ? Which version of Windows are you using ? Did you update all Windows server updates or did you update your esxi server ?
"RDP" As per the post I feel issue is related to windows server 2016 only. I can find the issue and fix it.
