Software testing General

Testing sales harvester product. A business productivity software that interact with eBay, Amazon and osCommerce to manage and sell your inventory. There are 4 separated and specific jobs to be done and each one regarding and addressing the test of the product. Therefore, we have decided to have 4 different projects and each one addressing the specific part such as: - General - eBay - osCommerce & Google Adwords - Amazon You are welcome to look at the other projects too. General: Test the overall product (NOT eBay, Amazon or osCommerce interfaces). All possible and not sale related functions of the product shall be tested: Some indications and guidelines are as follow: - creating new catalogues - populating catalogues - printing reports - importing and exporting data - importing and customizing pictures - creating and modifying data entry screens - check the congruency and adherence of the available documentation and report mismatches - add, delete and modify records And, all other available functions must be extensively exercised and tested too. The available documentation will provide an overview of those functions available. Any kind of anomaly, and as well as testing conducted, shall be reported and any bug must be fully documented possibly with steps to reproduce, screenshot, etc. (it shall be possible to reproduce errors at any time). We expect a proactive minded person with the tester keen and dedicated to stress to the maximum the software. Testing of the product will last a minimum of a full month. We expect that in the initial 2 weeks tester will be occupied around 6 hours a day, in the following 2 weeks, being mostly a test of the fixes only 4 hours a week No special extra knowledge is needed aside testing and general IT.
