Regression test is used when we change something in the code, to check for any integration bugs. Unit testing is when we test each and every different module or piece of code using stubs and drivers. Relevant Skills and Experience I got good bug testing skills, penetration testing and stress testing. Regression testing means testing after each change for bugs, unit testing means individual component testing.

I have finished Masters in Biotechnology from Northumbria University UK with commendation. I have done certifications in Information Technology (6 months) NIIT,India,ASTQB Foundation Level software testing(CTFL),and Selenium Webdriver with Java + Framework-Basics to Advanced .I have good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle(SDLC) .I have done project in manual testing for banking domain. I am well versed in preparing test scenario ,test cases from Business Requirement Document(BRD). I have experience in preparing requirements, defect report by using hp ALM Quality Center (QC) tool (version 11.0). I am comfortable working in invoking different browsers, using different locators(id,link,classname,xpath,css selector),handling static and dynamic dropdown,checkbox,radiobuttons,aletrs,frames. I can prepare a framework from scratch by using various tools such as TestNG,Maven(build management tool),Jenkins(Continuous Integration),Log4j,Page Object Mechanism. Basic knowledge of SQL.

Unit – You test each individual piece of code. Regression – After integrating you should run your unit tests . This is regression testing to ensure that further changes have not broken any units . Relevant Skills and Experience Worked as automation tester for 2.5 years in MNC.

I was working on both web and mobile projects, doing functional testing: manually and automated (I feel comfortable using Selenium in Java to create the scripts). Also, I have access to different devices in order to test on multiple platforms. Unit testing is used by developers to check the expected behavior of a block of code.
