MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Working with Business Leaders, HR & Training resources, business subject matter experts (SMEs) and the ‘Transforming Talents’ program leader, the Instructional Training Designer (ITD) will be responsible for designing and developing an experiential learning program to develop competence in the area of translation and localization. The ITD will bring together tools and materials across a wide array of resources within and outside of the organization to build a comprehensive program with a view to delivery through multiple technology and in-person teaching resources.

MAIN DUTIES

The following is a non-exhaustive list of responsibilities and areas of ownership for this role:

· Work with subject matter experts to identify business, client and target learners training needs

· Create and develop scripts, storyboards, training documentation and any other relevant materials

· Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content

· Translate complex technical information into easy-to-understand language that is technically accurate;

· Set instructional end goals and ensure content developed enables achievement of these goals

· Work within cross-functional teams that consist of members located in both local and remote settings

· Create supporting material/media (audio, visuals, simulations that enhance the learning process

· Devise modes of assessment to measure effectiveness of the training content and training experiencw

· Adhere to in-house processes, templates and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

· Ensure all content aligns with in-house standards and client guidelines

· Work with operational leaders to ensure ongoing monitoring and mentoring of learners

REQUIREMENTS

Education Level

· Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a college or university a plus, related experience and/or training required.

Experience

· Previous working experience in instructional design for 3-5 years

· In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models

· Lesson and curriculum planning skills

· Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge

· Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator)

· Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts

· MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar relevant field

· Effective verbal and written communication skills

· Strong interpersonal and presentation skills

· Strong computer skills

· Self-motivated individual with positive attitude

· Comfortable with the ambiguous and able to take initiative

· High energy and entrepreneurial spirit

· Ability to adapt in changing work environment

· Confident
