Game Designer and Writer Sometimes people ask me what a game designer does. I tell them, "If the game isn't fun, it's my fault." I have been working in the games industry since 2004 as a designer and writer, with my shift to freelancing happening in 2016 when I moved to Santa Barbara to accommodate my wife's work.
