Revamp my existing website and build it on WordPress

Assignment: I would like my website to be redesigned from the current Joomla platform to a Wordpress platform. It would also help to give it a fresh look without changing much of the colour themes. The purpose for which I use my website is to project my personal brand and activities through content-rich material such as publications, blogs, and podcasts. I use it as a platform for projecting professional image, capturing and sharing content, and marketing myself as a writer, podcaster, speaker, and corporate consultant. I write almost weekly as a columnist for a newspaper, publish blogs and policy insights, books, and want to upload and share my podcasts. The podcast will also be uploaded on weekly basis, and this will feature interviews/conversations with various experts, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and analysts covering themes such as: political economy, leadership, institutions, technology and social change, and entrepreneurship. The same website colours could be retained, but may be given a bit of a boost. The website should project a balance between a strong professional feel, elegance and simplicity. In addition, I would like the new design to have the following horizontal buttons: 1) Home 2) Bio 3) Publications 4) Podcasts and Media 5) Events Most of my content will fall under publications and podcasts. Under publications there should be 4 categories: books, journals, policy insights, newspaper articles. There should also be buttons for my twitter and linkedin accounts, and I should be able to push content (blogs and podcasts) from my website to social media platforms. In terms of the assignment outcomes: I would like to take a look at at least 3 different designs, and with 3 revisions before the final end product is signed off. I should also be able to edit the website myself when I need to upload material on an ongoing basis, including my publications, podcasts, videos, and picture. So, the wordpress-based website should be user-friendly, clean, elegant and simple. The landing page should have the sliding flash as is currently the case. .
