I need to understand how to use IF statements within word using data to test from Custom XML Part.
I have attached a document with the XML. I am happy placing the data on the document by using XML Mapping Pane but need to test data and if it matches condition then change the text (or hide it).
Would like someone to setup a working example on the attached word document and then give detailed written instruction of how I can use it.
I am sure it is simple but struggling to find decent information on this advanced side of word.
--------
The data is stored in an XML Part. I can enter a field on the document by going to Developer/ Mapping Pane/ Select Custom XML ‘SQL-CM/Select field
Below I have a XML Part - SQL-CM/Staff/@fee_earner_initials
DG
What I would like is to use a condition on this data. Eg IF ‘DG’ then show ‘David Grooms’ else show ‘Not David’
So in the above example it would show
David Grooms
And not DG

As I get a lot of automated response please mention 'DG' in your reply to let me know you have read the description of the project fully. If you do not enter 'DG' in your reply your bid will be ignored.
I look forward to working with you.
David
