I freelance so that I can travel. Most of my time is spent working remotely as a proofreader and editor for Target Languages GmbH—a translation agency based in Germany. The rest of my time is spent editing and writing schools textbooks and corporate training materials. I've worked as a commissioning and managing editor for Oxford University Press Southern Africa, where I conceptualized and managed the development of their first mobile app, Flippit (designed to help Grade 12 learners prepare for finals). I have also worked as a copywriter and subeditor for magazines, blogs, and web developers for over ten years. When I'm not at my desk editing, I'm at my desk watching Bon Appétit's From the Test Kitchen on YouTube. On repeat.
