As Morihei Ueshiba once said: "failure is just the key to success, each failure teaches us something". I have failed. A lot. Up until recently I had failed time and time again, failing to come up with a structure and a strategy for a sustainable architectural practice that recognized simultaneously the preeminent importance of organization over execution while subverting the stale and creatively bankrupt nature of most contemporary commercial practices. A practice that recognizes that the past and the present are not prologue, but springboards towards the future. A practice that isn't blinded by the architectural conventions, a practice that sees change as not only desirable but inevitable, and more so if we are the ones designing it. A practice that instead of offering one-off artistic masterpieces offers solutions.
