I am currently pursuing [login to view URL]. (By Research) in Microbial Biotechnology at Amity university, Noida, India. However, I have done my graduation in Microbiology (Delhi University). I have a keen interest in writing research proposals & articles related to Biotechnology. I have two publications so far in International magazine ("The Seoul Times") entitled" Food Preservation: Tool to prevent food spoilage and enhance shelf life of food" and "Transgenic crops: Alternative to food security in India". I have work experience in a research project which focused upon determining the antimicrobial activities from essential oils of various plant extracts.Recently I have made a case study and a portfolio on a NGO visit which was joined to help underprivileged children of society. My interest in writing and scientific research not only helps me in delivering stuff about my field but general articles as well. To unleash my skills and help people serve better I have joined the group of freelancers.

Orthorexia Nervosa is an eating disorder in which the sufferer is conscious about it's eating habit. You might have seen many people eating unhealthy food even if they are aware of it. However there are certain people who are extra conscious about eating only healthy foods. This becomes a major eating disorder and many people are not well aware of it. I have conducted surveys to study the emotional intelligence associated with the people suffering from such disorder.

Essential oils are concentrated hydrophobic liquids containing volatile aroma compounds from plants and are potentially useful sources of antimicrobial compounds. These were isolated in clavenger apparatus through hydrodistillation process. Result was recorded and zone of inhibition was seen at different concentrations of Artemisia against pathogenic strains of bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella sp. and Staphylococcus sp.

Food preservation is the science which deals with the process of prevention of spoilage of food thus allowing it to be stored in a fit condition for future use". There are various physical, chemical and biological methods that can be employed to prevent food spoilage. Temperature, Radiations are effective physical agents whereas use of salt and sugar can retard the microbial growth in an effective way. Antibiotics and Bacteriocins are no more lagging behind in protecting the meat products.

A normal crop has certain optimum conditions over which they are produced. If these conditions are not sufficient enough then it might lead to no production of crop at all, whereas GM crops are created in a way so that they can be produced under any environment conditions with any of the trait being expressed by it. Yes! It’s the power of Biotechnology which can manipulate various genomes present on the earth and thus India has adopted this powerful strategy to produce more and more GM crops.
