had to keep using google to get basic widgets and free code snippets that the vendor wanted to charge extra for [e.g. password strength meter]. at one point my entire feedback email was blindly copied onto the home page as an update! to avoid wasting time over small text changes, i designed the about, contact, and faq pages myself in google sites and asked the freelancer to just link to it directly since they were incapable of writing a single correct sentence on any web page. took double the time to do barely half the work and kept blaming the client! complete waste of time and money, its almost like they have no understanding of the basics of software development like avoid hard coding so that small changes don't require large amounts of effort to implement. no concept of using parameters in page design to add flexibility for future updates. i even had to hunt down sample images to use as placeholders for them... it would be funny if it were not so sad.
