I believe coding helps in understanding a given problem in a much better way than just pen-paper work. This is sometimes faster too, depending on the problem at hand. I prefer to solve problems in Python, MATLAB and sometimes C++. I like dealing with neural networks, which got my attention like two years ago, during my post-graduation.
