Hello,

This is simply a project idea at the brainstorming stage. We don’t have any ideas regarding implementing or managing a housing complex construction project.

This contest is simply for us to find someone who has expertise in this area as well as good ideas that can steer us to the right direction and also assist us throughout the various phases of the project execution.

We might select one or more ideas and thereafter chose one freelancer to work with him/her in a regular posted job with the proper budget. For now, we are simply gathering good ideas.

The housing unit complex will be built in a 2,500 square meters area. We don’t have a clue about how many G+4 buildings we can build there in addition to the open spaces and landscaping area.

The Project: The Residential Housing Complex.
The project consists of building a Rental Residential Housing Complex exclusively for the workers working in the new Diamniadio Urban Pole located in Senegal (West Africa).

The residential housing units are mainly for single workers and are not family based residential units.

The units will be fully furnished and the monthly rental cost will be affordable because it will be subsidized on a sliding scale based on the worker’s salary.

Only workers whose companies are willing to participate in the subsidized program will be permitted to living in the housing complex. In other words, the worker’s company must participate in the program to ensure that the worker’s part of the rental cost will be paid on a timely manner.

The housing complex will be built on 2,500 square meters (m2) and will comprised of XX? buildings, G+4 (Ground + 4 Floors) each, having the following fully furnished housing units:
• One-Bedroom apartment units;
• Single Studios units with inside small kitchenette;
• Single Studios units without inside small kitchenette with a common shared kitchen area;
• Four-Bedrooms apartment units with each room having its own bathroom and a common shared living room, dining area and kitchen;
• Dorm style 2, 3 and 4 beds with common shared living area with no inside kitchen;
• One of the building will be have One-Bedroom and Two-Bedrooms corporate style apartments;

The shared facilities and spaces will include:
• One (1) Multipurpose Events Hall / Banquet room;
• One (1) Restaurant;
• One (1) Grocery Store;
• One (1) Gym;
• One (1) Place of Worship;
• Open spaces, landscaping and walking areas.

I would guess that having a general idea about how many buildings can be realistically put in a 2500 m2 area along side with floor plans, elevations / interior design ideas would be a good start.

I know all of these are a lot of work and cannot be done as part of a contest.

I just need good ideas but really don’t know where to start.
I wish I could be much more clearer.

  The land has not been acquired yet. We are planning to put the project together in order to submit it for the land attribution.
  The site is located in a new urban pole that is currently being developed.
