Contest Brief

Hello, we are looking at a nice design for a mandir (outdoor) on a school ground. We have the plan at the moment, we are planning to have the mandir on a water body with a bridge to access. (Check the document attached). The design should be harmonious with nice proportion. The outer dimensions on plan are fixed (you can change location and section of the column according to your design) and we want something in masonry or concrete only, no wood or metal. And it should not be too complicated to build. The backdrop of the mandir is a water wall (drafted on the plan). Please provide a 3D view to express your design. If selected you should be able to provide a CAD plan, elevation and a section with dimensions.

  for the height there is no constraint, but the overall volume should be harmonious. It is an Hindu temple . I posted a picture for reference. And it should not be enclosed. I will extend the contest by few more days.

Could you please define the type of temple design you need. You want simple design on four pillars made of RCC and top also RCC or carved marble pillars & top carved marble, or complete mandir made of RCC & cladded with marbles?

  hello. At the moment it should be concrete and masonry work. We can imagine stone or marble cladding. It is not an enclosed temple. I posted a picture for reference with comments. Also since few days are left, I will extend the contest by few more days.
