MPC for parallel connected online ups system under unbalanced and nonlinear loads

In this paper, the finite control set model predictive control (FCS–MPC) technique-based controller is proposed for the inverter of the uninterrupted power supply (UPS) system. The proposed control strategy was implemented for the single inverter of the UPS system. The simulation results showed that total harmonic distortion (THD) for the linear load was 0.9% and THD for the nonlinear load was 1.42%.

MPC for three phase rectifier with grid connected and standalone mode of operation

This paper presents a finite control set based model predictive control (FCS-MPC) for renewable energy based three phase active front end rectifier in both standalone and grid connected mode. The proposed MPC algorithm enables the rectifier to regulate voltage in standalone mode and power sharing in grid connected mode. The authors propose MPC as being a non-linear control, it offers constraint inclusion feature and wide dynamic response range.

MPC Based distributed control algorithm for BIC in hybrid microgrids

This paper proposes MPC-based distributed control algorithm that will analyze grid conditions, and it would designate BIC to regulate the highest deviated parameter (AC/DC voltage or current) in all nonlinear conditions by performing multivariable optimization using variable control scheme in MPC. MPC being a nonlinear control technique having an excellent dynamic response and constraint inclusion feature.

Analysis of Wind Energy Potential and Optimum Wind Blade Design for Jamshoro Wind Corridor

In this paper a wind blade design has been developed and optimized for Jamshoro wind corridor. Considering the Jamshoro wind conditions, blade of around 43 meters have been designed and optimized theoretically. For low wind speeds, theoretical results and simulated results in Q-blade were almost same but for high wind speeds, results were significantly different due to limitation of iterations in theoretical design.
