Ok I have a new Server I setup and moved my ecommerce store to. It is running cs cart. Its a Linode 6cpu 16GB so should be very fast. I installed LAMP and am running Php fpm 7.3.x I keep getting gateway errors on the store...have high user base. Due to the site selling digital products and having sometimes 2GB files uploaded the memory limit and max file upload size is set high enough to allow this . But it was the same on the old server with no issues. I also installed redis cache but it I cant get it connected to my cscart sites (dev and live site) for some reason so they are not using it. Less than a year ago I upgraded one of virtualmin servers, which we only really use as an Email server, from CentOs7 to CentOs8. Unfortunately CentOs8 is no longer going to be maintained, and we have to go to Debian. Following Webmin's documentation I have been through many cycles attempting the migration. One issue is that some configurations for Postfix are different on Debian than they are on Centos. Another main is the emails and users have to be imported manually or else scripted in someway that fixes the permissions on the Maildirs. They get copied over but the UID's are not correct, so users cannot access the emails. Do to time constraints could really use some help with the migration.

I need a small script written -- that captures the "print" data coming in the serial port - on a Linux CentOS 7 server. Here is the logic Application server - printings receipts to a Epson TM88 III serial printer. I have a Y cable plugged into the application server - then into the serial printer and also into the serial port (com1) of the Linux server. The script should capture all data coming in on the serial port and be written to a txt file. The txt file should be named with the date of the action -- and change for each new day. I have a CentOS 6 server, Apache2, and I keep getting break in attempts so I want to tighten up the security including banning suspect IPs from trying to break in. I also receive undelivered emails which I think are just using my return address but maybe coming from my server.
