This role will play a key part in aiding our International team of IT professionals to further support the business growth by utilising the latest mobile technologies. We are looking for a talented app developer to help us continue to build and expand our internal set of applications. We have actively developed and published one iOS and one Android application for our customers and we are now in a position to expand our development team to increase the level of functionality in light of our aggressive future growth plans. You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of product enhancements, new developments and maintenance of existing products. Our development approach combines short sprints and early releases and requires a proactive, confident approach. With strong analysis and problem-solving skills, you will be able to write clear and concise code, be able to test your own and others’ work efficiently and effectively and have a keen eye for usability You will have the opportunity to work on multiple exciting, up and coming mobile applications from concept to design, build, test and release. As an iOS/Android developer you would be contributing to the following: • Regular design and development meetings to improve and shape the product's future • Increasing customer engagement by reshaping all the features of our website in the mobile applications to increase engagement • Finding the best way to deliver new features while minimising user frustration and keeping interfaces simple • Frequent releases which cascade with new features from the backend, ensuring compatibility of legacy apps • Researching and using the proper tools or technologies to build a solid stack that is efficient, ready for the latest iOS API • Highly connected applications using several mobile application frameworks, with background tasks, notifications, etc • Shape a product which is used by many different profiles (businesses, workers) who can often be technology challenged, and consider their feedback • Work on a huge roadmap and be proactive in designing new functionality that could help the business grow. Experience and Skills- essential In addition to 2 years of commercial computing experience, you must be able to demonstrate: • You be fanatical about writing excellent, documented clean code • Computer science or related degree. • Ability to deliver clean & tested code • Should have at least 2-year experience in developing mobile applications for iPhone/iPad. • Should have strong basics in Swift. • Must have at least 1+ published iPhone applications in the App store. • Proven experience as an app developer. • Proficient in Objective-C, Swift, and Cocoa Touch. • Extensive experience with iOS Frameworks such as Core Data and Core Animation. • Knowledge of iOS back-end services. • Knowledge of Apple’s design principles and application interface guidelines. • Proficient in code versioning tools including Mercurial, Git, and SVN. • Knowledge of C-based libraries. • Familiarity with push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging. • Experience with continuous integration.
