Work on the update of a PC controlled test device.

We are looking for some input from an electronics engineer with software knowledge, to work on a test device that was built some 20 years ago and requires an update from the current DOS based system to something more current and future resilient. The ten station device measures pressure and flow via a number of sensors, the analogue output of which are currently changed to digital signals via an interface card within the very old PC used for the project. This might suit someone recently retired or perhaps a self employed person with the relevant experience, it is not a full time position. Our expertise is in mechanical engineering; we designed and produced the hardware for the device back in 1995. Auto Cad dxf files of the circuit diagram of the main PCB are available for reference and I can provide a run down on how the device works in principal for anyone interested in helping on this. We are based in South Northants and it will be necessary for the person who takes on the project to visit here. It is likely that future projects involving electronic input will ensue so this is not a one off job.
