Build a Customised Gantt Chart

Hi there, Understood the requirements. Each workshop can be represented as a row on Y axis. X axis represents time. Length plotted on X axis equals to 365 days. Each day could be represented as a tiny rectangle. So we would have a row for each workshop, each row is made up from 365 small rectangles. Given that we know the activity start date and end date (or duration) we could fill in the corresponding rectangles, effectively producing a Gantt chart. Rectangles could be visible (have small spacing between the), in my opinion it would make it visually more clear for how many days an event lasts and overall should look better, but if you prefer we don't have to have any spacing between the squares. I would code the chart to be responsive, it would calculate the available space for the time plotting and divide by 365, making sure that all rectangles/days fit in the viewport even on small devices. It would work with any number of workshops and activities, chart would be dynamically generated on every page load. Regards, Julijan

Hello How do you need this chart to be presented? If you simply need to generate an image to include in reports then I can quickly write up a script in Python / Pillow to generate this customized Gantt chart from a given list of activities, workshops, start dates, and end dates. You selected PHP, Excel and Visual Basic, so I'm somewhat confused as to whether this chart needs to be presented on the web, within a desktop application, or within an Excel sheet.
